Pogue Life with Driving By stamp set

Have a good time all the time!

My daughter and I watched the show Outer Banks together and when I saw the new Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Driving By with the VW van in it, I knew I had to make this card! I had so much fun making it! If you aren't a fan of the show, you can add different words on the bottom instead of 'Pogue Life', maybe 'Chill', 'Relax',  or 'Lovin' Life'.

What does Pogue Life mean? - “Pogue life is all fun and nothing not. You can worry about it after we're done surfing. It's going out and having fun, and then when you come back to shore, you can deal with everything.” — John B.

Adulting is hard work, but sometimes, you just gotta have fun with your friends and worry about everything else later, or like Scarlett says, "Tomorrow is another day". AND, I love this card because the beach is my happy place.

Check out the individual photos below along with a link to the video, measurements, and supply list!

You can watch how this card is made, plus two other cards using the Driving By stamp set on the video on my Facebook Live here. I go LIVE on FB every Wednesday morning at 11AM Central Time. You can find me on FB here.

I die cut a large circle on scrap cardstock cut 4 x 5 1/4" to use as a mask. Then I adhered it with repositionable adhesive to the Basic White cardstock cut the same size. I used the Blending Brushes to add Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie to the white.

Then I moved the strip up to mask the horizon line and used the remaining ink on the blending brush to add 'sand' on the bottom.

I stamped the Paradise Palms 'trees' and the On the Horizon 'birds' in Memento Black, masking the bottom sand.

Next I adhered an Adhesive Sheet to a Basic White scrap and colored stripes with Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Pumpkin Pie and Bronze Blends. I stamped the van and colored it with those colors and also Light Pool Party, Light Gray Granite and Light Basic Black. I fussy cut the van and popped it up with dimensionals. (no pic of the van)

I used the Playful Alphabet dies to diecut the letters with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. It was easy to remove the backing from the adhesive sheets on the back of the letters to adhere them to the bottom of the card. I mounted it all on a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" Pumpkin Pie card base.

Here are the supplies I used. If you need anything, you can order with this month's Host Code to get my Online Monthly Special. Thanks!!
