Embossed Metal Frame

Some of you remember this frame as you took the class I offered last year.  It was my most popular class ever.  I've been thinking I need to make a video tutorial or at least a picture tutorial, I'll have to work on that. Maybe it's time to have another class....

I used various Stampin' Up! embossing folders, thin metal sheet (prepainted), an old mouse pad, a paper stump and a sanding block.  I adhered the completed piece with Sticky Strip to a dollar frame from a craft store. I inked the edges of the frame with a coordinating green ink, then added rhinestones and a velvet ribbon to finish it off.

Embossing is a real stress reliever as you can work out all your frustrations on the metal!  I go through a 'metal craze' every few months or so when I cover everything in sight!  Items I have covered and decorated my house with or given as gifts:

Frames
Coffee mugs (with the insert)
Tissue boxes
Light switch covers
Candy boxes recycled into cute holders
Fridge magnets - shapes such as birds, crosses, leaves
Christmas ornaments
Scrapbook chipboard covers
Necklaces
Etc.

I'm going to get some iced tea and go sit out on the patio with my kids and enjoy this beautiful spring weather we are having today!  I hope you the same for you!

Blessings,
Karrie
