My nephew, Christian and his fiance', Sunshine just got married. It was a beautiful, emotional wedding. I'm so happy for both of them to have found each other!
When looking at their gorgeous engagement photos, Sunshine was wearing cowboy boots with sunflowers on them and she was holding a sunflower. So what else could I create but sunflower cards and a matching box.
I made a set of 12 matching sunflower cards with the Abundant Beauty Masks.
Card base: Basic White 5 1/2 X 8 1/2"
Card front: Basic White 4 X 5 1/4"
I used both of the sizes of the Blending Brushes, blending Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie ink pads. I stamped 'Thank You' from Go-To Greetings in Pecan Pie and die cut using the Cheerful Daisy label die. They were embellished with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
For coordination, I used one of my favorite retired sets, Painted Harvest to stamp the envelopes.
I used a box that I found in my stash (I think it was from the Kits Collection) to hold the 12 Thank You cards. Then I cut a retired 12 x 12 black striped designer series paper in half at 6" to make a large belly band. I attached it together using Tear & Tape so it can slide on and off of the box.
I added a Daffodil Delight and a Basic Black die cut scalloped rectangles, popping each up with dimensionals. Then I die cut the leaves using the Meadow and Paper Florist dies with Old Olive cardstock. That went on top of the rectangles. Using the Black & White Gingham ribbon, I made loops and attached to the top.
I created the three dimensional flower by layering six stenciled flowers. I used three large, one medium, and two small flowers. I fussy cut each flower and some of the flowers I cut off the partial petals. To create more dimension I clipped between each petal to the flower center and then used a Bone Folder to curl the petals. They were attached to the top of the belly band with dimensionals.
The tag was made from the Merriest Trees dies, using Basic White cardstock. I stamped 'for you' in Momento Black and stenciled more sunflowers on it and then a fussy cut one on top, tucking in Old Olive leaves. I added gingham ribbon through the hole and tied white baker's twine in a bow.
Lastly, I added tons of bling with my favorite embellishment, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
