Gently Falling, Festive Flurry

Here is one of the cards that we made at my party on Saturday, with the stamp set, Gently Falling.   I LOVE that stamp set!  For the leaves we used 2-step stamping, the outline image was stamped in Early Espresso, then inked the solid image in Crushed Curry and thumped the stamp with a Cajun Craze marker.  That made it look realistic.  Wish there was a die to cut it out, but it wasn't bad cutting it with scissors. We die cut 'thankful' in Cajun Craze with the Expressions die, embossed Espresso Co-ordinations cardstock with the woodgrain embossing folder and sanded it and put it together with a button and linen thread.

We used Festive Flurry to make this Merry Christmas card (and ORNAMENT!). I found it on Pinterest. :) It's fabulous to have the stamp set AND the dies.  You can make a card or ornament very quickly.  The colors are Pool Party and Baked Brown Sugar. We stamped the Pool Party snowflake twice, die cut one and left the white around the other to hide behind the Brown Sugar rectangle piece. We die cut 1 of the smaller Brown Sugar snowflakes. It got layered onto the die cut snowflake or ornament.  We punched a Pool Party and a Brown Sugar flower from Boho Blossoms punch and added it to the snowflakes and ended with rhinestones. Then punched a hole near the top and threaded it with baker's twine. Then we placed the snowflake framelit on stamped Brown Sugar front card panel, with points at top and bottom, centering between panel sides and the top of panel and stamped sentiment. We added dimensionals to the back of the negative Brown Sugar Snowflake and center and place over stamped Pool Party snowflake. We then cut away any excess Whisper White behind the Brown Sugar so it wouldn't show in the front. This allows the snowflake ornament to rest inside of it to be removed by the recipient.  Bonus gift!!

Thanks Heidi Tekunoff for sharing your fabulous card!  Love it!
