When I saw the new Build a Banner Kit in the Holiday mini I knew I had to have it! It's so much fun to play with! It comes with so much stuff. The kit includes 18 (5X7") canvas pieces with the grommets at the top, 9 feet of jute, a Stampin' Spritzer and background and alphabet stencils. It's a great price just for the stencils!
Sorry about the poor quality photo. I spritzed the banner pieces with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Baked Brown Sugar reinker drops in the Spritzer. While they were drying I used the Designer Rosette die and Modern Medley designer paper to make the medallions. I LOVE that black and vanilla paper! It's so pretty. I love every sheet, well, every sheet except the bird sheet, it kinda reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's movie, The Birds. The paper is very elegant. I used the alphabet stencils and sponge daubers with Basic Black ink to spell out the word 'blessings' on Very Vanilla cardstock 3 1/2" circles. I threaded the jute twine through the grommet holes and tied Stampin' Up's burlap ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) in between each letter so they would stay in place. I think the color combo and the burlap give it a vintage feel.
I have more ideas with what to do with the banner kit, so I'm going to need to order another kit. I think the next one I will do for Christmas and add Vanilla colored, glittered jingle bells in between the letters.
I'd love to see what you do with your kits!
